I just added an iframe to my site for the Facebook Like plugin. I've never used an iframe before, so I've never paid attention to whether or not there are any SEO implication of using one. Should the iframe affect anything SEO-related at all?

Traditionally, the content in an iframe is not "counted" as part of the URL where the iframe appears. In recent months, Matt Cutts confirmed that this is still the case, but he did leave the door open for changes in the future on that. [Take note everyone who uses the iframe for scuplting PR.]

I just added this same facebook plugin. Keep this in mind: facebook is the largest sites in the world. Google is well aware of the like scripts/boxes etc and lots of sites use it, if there was a problem, it would have been corrected by now by google. If anything, it will only help you as it shows google (if they pay attention to that), that you are an active site with an active user base. Most MFA or cookie cutter sites will not have this feature, so I highly doubt it will hurt in anyway.

I noticed the Like Button produces a privacy warning in IE8. Has anyone else noticed this? The privacy warning references a blocked facebook.com cookie.

The user will also get a security warning if the http Like Button is used on an https page but it's easy to suppress the button on https pages.
