hi all,

my site suffered 80% drop last month, it was mainly because we changed php's maxwordcount from 3 to 4..... this messed up our internal linking, resulted in huge drop in google referrals, now we have reverted it back

we are planning for asking google for reconsideration

what things we must take care of before moving forward with reconsideration

thanks :)

Basically, a error like this will naturally work itself out over time. If you do do a request through your webmaster tools, just tell them the error and the action you took to rectify the problem.

More than likely your site will adjust back before a Google employee sees your request.

Agreed. A reconsideration request wont achieve much unless the problem is rectified.
