How long has google e-mail alerts been sending tweets?

This is the first time I noticed a google alert with tweets. How long have they been doing that?

I've never seen one so far - so it does sound new to me. I'd really appreciate that kind of service.

i went back through my archived google alerts and could only an earlier occurrence. looks like yesterday google started to include tweets & images from twitter.
