Best way to transfer lots of content from one site to another?

I have a large article website with .be domainname that ranks good in Google. I now bought a .nl website with lots of articles, but that doesn't rank well.

I'm thinking of transfering all the text from the .nl site to my own .be site. How should I do this? I don't want Google to consider my .be site as a duplicate of the .nl site.

Any other considerations i should keep in mind?

Google should consider those two sites to be geo-targeted to two different countries, so the .nl gets filtered on searches done from Belgium and vice versa.

So I can just copy all text to the new site, and take down the .nl one?

Google automatically geo-targets country specific tlds. But it will better for you to confirm this by analyzing your traffic.

Where do you get your traffic for .be site? It should be belgium and not other countries.But do check whether you get any traffic from other countries and how much does that quantify to as a percentage of the total traffic.

Your .nl site should be receiving traffic from netherlands and not many from other countries.If you transfer the content from this site to the .be site, then you are in effect targetting Belgium for the same content and not netherlands.

According to google, this is not duplicate content as you are targetting two different regions with your own content.So, there may not be the need to remove the content in .nl site though you publish it on the .be site as well.

BE site has 27% visitors from the netherlands, NL site has 5% from Belgium.

So these valuesare OK for the move?
