New Domain Name - use the catchiest or highest keyword volume?

Please give your opinion on which of two domain names is better for my webstore.

* Both domains contain two words. Both share one same, highly relevant keyword. The other word in both is an adjective that has good relevancy to my store. Both have about the same number of letters.

Domain 1:
* Google's "Local Monthly Searches" for both words together, broad match, separated by a space ("parsed", for example I would get the volume for examplesite by entering "example site") is 480.
* I took a survey asking respondents to rate Domain 1 and other similar quality domains on a scale of 1 to 6, 1 being best. Domain 1 got the overall highest rating of 2.3.

Domain 2:
* Google's "Local Monthly Searches" for the two parsed words is 5400.
* In the survey, Domain 2 got a rating of 4.3, one of the lowest.

So basically D1 is catchy and people like it, but worse for SEO. D2 is not liked as much, but better for SEO.
Whatcha think? :)

I would probably go with the catchiest and most memorable - that's the long term marketing win, IMO.

I agree with Tedster.

Re "worse for SEO" - rankings are based on many factors besides the domain name, so any perceived limitation can be overcome if you do enough other things right.

A domain that is "keyword perfect" but not memorable could be okay if SEO were the only thing you ever did to promote your business. But if your ambitions are bigger than that, a catchy, memorable name would serve you better over time.
