Determining the factors for my improved keyword rankings

For the last two months, I've been doing the SEO for an online bead shop. Through onpage factors (keyword targeted urls, reducing number of characters in title tag, playing around with the body) and link building. As an earlier mistake I made, the majority of my anchor text of my links are the title of the company I work for.

But lately, I've seen drastic increases in keyword rankings. With the PR remaining at 2. In the past month or so rankings have fluctuated from:

Beading Supplies from 40 to 21 to 18

Bead Supplier from 13 to 12 and now 8

If there are targeted keywords in the description accompanying your anchor text, can this improve their ranking?

Some SEO experts have said this, and I think it is probably true.

Also, I think the recent improvements in your site's rankings are probably mostly due to the various SEO methods you've been applying, though it's hard to say which methods made the biggest contribution.
