I submitted a brand new website to google 10 days ago and it is still not indexed. I thought caffeine was suppose to make changes within minutes...

Then I changed the title of one of sites and it took 72 hours to change this title and 5 days later I am still waiting on the change of the description I did ...

Is that normal that all those changes are so slow... or is because caffeine is only efficient with "popular" websites ( meaning PR of 7 or more ? = less than 1 % of the web )

Thank you,

Yeah, caffeine is supposed to be more efficient-- once it has data to play with. This sounds like it might be more of a spidering problem.

Have you checked your server logs to see if g-bot has been around? Does the new site have any links to it as yet? That's still about the only way a site will be indexed.

And for the other site, yes, it might be that Google only visits it from time to time and is slow to pick up the changes. PageRank, popularity, importance, how often new information is added, are just a few of the factors I assume G uses to determine how often a site is spidered.
