I have noticed a few companies using the &#8482 code to generate TM (Trademarks) around their brand. Wonder if this has any impact on Google/Search Engines for establishing 'authority/trust' around those brand terms? No idea how TM is policed so may be too easy to replicate and therefore no value. but just a thought ;)

My guess would be that it's too easy just to type it in. Now actually having the trademark is something Google can verify, and that might be a factor in deciding that you have "a brand" - and as we know, Google has a love affair with brands.
