I have found a website in Australia that is a puzzle to me. This site appeared on my radar recently so I assume it was because of Mayday. It ranks 3 for a double keyword. It has 450 no follow back links, ) follow links, 75 pages of content (but only the home page ranks). It has major keyword stuffing in the title and desc. The meta keywords must have 100 in there (just to illustrate). The site is not pretty. Its only 925 wide Html. It has info in the Archive since 2005. Its a PR2.
I don't understand why it ranks so well.
On the home page is a small table with overflow turned on and he has 2300 words of text in there. He has the keywords repeated 14x and 34x for the second.
Could this be why? So much text on the homepage?

It does sound like the text in that table might be part of the picture - but it certainly takes more than that. You probably already know that Google doesn't currently use the meta keyword tag.

It might be a few very good quality links or a lack of competition.. Where are you searching from?

I use the Google Global Firefox extension. Its fantastic. I can even specify in the options individual cities.

The links are typical. Blog postings from unrelated industry in another country.

Look towards external factors, 450 solid incoming links for starters...
