Scraped content ranking higher than the original source

Hi,

Since last month my traffic has started dropping tremendously and after investigating, I found out that another website (in China) is copying the content and pictures from my website and pasting it on their site. (manually)

For those pages that are duplicated, (around half my site) Google ranked their pages higher than my site for key words. In some cases, Google only show their site and drop ours completely.

All our pictures are watermarked with our domain, so how do I report to Google. The drop in traffic is hurting us real bad, and all out photos are taken in house. So we have to pay our photographers etc...

Really need help!

Most scrapers wouldn't notice and edit them

What is the purpose of "them" noticing it if you have to fight it later on anyway? The source of the Issue is $$$.$$$.$$$ collected by IT(GORG, Scrapers), in the same layer of: will let it go tile till most B&M&W start "*itching bout that"?

@JohnRoy, my content has enough unique phrases that I do not need to add typos for that to work, but an automated solution would be a lot better.

Another good point how to keep scrapers away is _not_ by giving their bots huge binary files (as others suggest here, somewhere) but to delay output of files with more links to nowhere.

Well.. I have a news site that is pretty active, so I cannot track every post I make (there are 10/15 posts per day) - but I did notice recently that I'm being outranked by scrapers.

The weird (and very upsetting) thing is, that they outrank me with my 0 content feed. Only the title is enough.

I found a post of mine was not even appearing in google - even if it has 500+ words (original content) - but the scraper got 1st place with MY title, and just one line I add to my feed that says something lile "this was posted by url.com"

I cannot believe it! Such was my rage, that I completely deleted my Feedburner feed with LOTS of readers. Changed all my feeds so I can have control and ban IPs - and I'm even considering not using RSS feeds anymore.

And this is a question I cannot answer for myself, cause I'm not an expert: are RSS feed any good today? From a SEO perspective, are they?

They bring only trouble :( and even if I have a news site and rss feeds are useful for users, it is really discouraging seeing these kind of problems.

Please bear my English :)

A quick update. Google removed the offending site from their SERPs after just a few working days. Guess what? The owner registered a new domain name and used the new domain on the same server! The content remains exactly the same!

Now I have to resubmit the DMCA again and it takes 3 hours each time to prepare. :(
