I have made a point to try and stay out of Goog WMT as much as possible during the Caffeine/Mayday/Latest month of turmoil.

I logged in a few minutes ago and noticed a HUGE (200% increase) in the impressions from the 18-19th.

Impressions have been rather steady throughout the month, with just slight upticks every 3-5 days... and this was a very noticeable spike. Anyone else?

I haven't spotted - but I haven't checked all the sites I work with yet, either.

Did your clicks spike too? Or did your URL only get more impressions and a lower CTR.

Perhaps there was some news event related to your site's subject, causing an increase in searches for information on that day.

@ Tedster -

Impressions rose 185% on the 19th. (Slightly lower than the 200% stated earlier)

Clicks actually rose 85% "On the 18th" and dropped again on the 19th.

Both impressions AND clicks were flat for the 20th.

@ Aristotle - The site is in the home appliance market... I could find no big search driven traffic spikes though.

After looking deeper... it may be related to the new Goog image search format. I have a LOT of product images on the site.

Too soon to say really.
