Working for a large international company in EMEA, our US parent website is appearing in all European search listings above the actual country's version of the site.

Each individual country's website is large but the American site puts something live and BAM! it's no#1 in every country!

All the individual coountry's all have relevant TLDs

I notice that Apple seem to have overcome this issue with their relevant country always appearing and the US site no where to be seen.

Does anyone have any tips to help me achieve this?

If the parent website is truly American (as in the United States) and if all the other relevant countries in the marketplace have their own dedicated website, then using WebmasterTools geo-argeting for the parent website might help.

But I normally stay away from geo-targeting any main company website unless the enterprise is completely willing to surrender the rest of the world traffic, because that loss just might be the result.
