Does Google follow JS links? Did anybody test this?

If you have normal JS navigation using standard methods, then yes. Google will crawl those links.
If you go two or three steps further - say you have external JS to modify classes to add links, or you add links onload, or block your external JS with robots.txt - Google will not follow or even find the links.
However Google will view that as "bad practice" or even as cloaking if you go so far as to block the external JS through robots.txt.
