Hi, Starting to panic a bit as my site seems to have disappeared from Google. When I enter key search terms that my site used to show up for on the 1st/2nd page, have now gone.

I think something 'spammy' is going on, cos Webmaster tools shows very strange results for the Query/Impressions/Clicks table.
Strange queries, ridiculous impression no.s and clicks

Webmaster Tools also shows that theres an error with my sitemap (robots can't crawl it). Perhaps I just need to submit my sitemap again to rectify?

Although when I do the site:www.example.com in Google, my pages are still showing up which is slightly reassuring. Does that mean the Google is still indexing my site?

My hotmail was recently hacked into and they sent a spam email to all my contacts, this occured the same time as my page dropped - is that related?

Any insight on whether I've been banned or its just a temp problem due to my sitemap would be greatly appreciated

Cheers,

[edit reason] switch to example.com - it can never be owned [/edit]

I dont think this has anything to so with your email being hacked. We are all experiencing the same stuff as you are describing after googles mayday update. There are couple of threads here but mainly check this one and come back daily to check out the updates
[webmasterworld.com...]

We have lost around 10% on most our sites since end of April but one of our sites has lost over 90% from google. Check also your analytics as this updated was meant to hit long tail traffic from google.

Also google made an announcement in WMT blog and stated that the current data in WMT is not accurate and they will fix it in the near future...
