You should wait and see for a few days.

It cannot be a penalty just for a days downtime however, might take few indexing from Google's end before starting to come up again

I run it from 2006 and having around 50,000 traffic/day but few days ago my site (b2b) down for a day and now traffic decline and its around 10,000 I dont understand what kind of penalty is this.

Have you checked whether your site has een infected by some virus? do you still rank for your top keywords and check if your long tail keywords are not ranking anymore.

If your domain expired and was renewed Google may look at it as a new site if the created date gets reset. Just a guess!

Hmmmm...

There was another report of non-renewal causing issues a while back in this thread here: [webmasterworld.com...]

Might be worth looking at.
