Today when i searched for keyword in Google, I observed the Country Name like "United States" beside the url in the SERP. Is this new updates or an old one.
Its not shown for any Country specific site, but for .com site only

The SERPs would display the country name if it is not from the same country (IP range of the country) from where(which) you are searching from.
I guess this feature is their from a couple of months.

I haven't seen this, I'm based in the UK and generally use Google.com/ncr or Google.co.uk .com results.
I've just checked it with a some Google.ccTLD sites using the ".com" results and see nothing.

I see this very often when using say Google.co.in (with Indian IP). Any site from US or UK hosting would show the country name just before the cached link in the SERPs.
Found a mention of the same here: [webmasterworld.com...] Read g1smd's post
