Hello itrajnish, and welcome to the forums.
Analyzing that kind of change can be difficult. The first question is whether this is only a ranking change or of your site has a real penalty.
One of the most common reasons for a penalty is artificially building backlinks, especially lots of them. What approaches have you been using to get new backlinks?

Some reasons, penalty or not, include:
~ having a high percentage of content that is not original. ~ having very little textual content or having too much template fluff that repeats on every page. ~ not using the keywords in content and titles. ~ site adds content rapidly and each new page gets buried 10 pages deep quickly with few internal links pointing to it. ~ Google updated their algorithm. ~ your site has been hacked and is displaying content you might not be seeing. ~ a mistake in your robots.txt file that is blocking your own site. ~ some backlinks have recently disappeared and Google updated their profile of your site.
the list goes on and on, you need to review every possibility one by one, the answer is in your site and/or logs somewhere.

Dropped site checklist [webmasterworld.com] is a classic for diagnosing what might have gone wrong.
Good luck.

Welcome to Webmasterworld, itrajnish!
How old is the site? Perhaps this is not a penalty...Google gives some benefit to new sites for a few weeks, perhaps a month, then puts that site into the regular mix, where it must fight rank with all the other millions of sites... Could be there's no penalty at all.
