I have noticed an additional column in the "Search Queries" page in GWT. It is "Average position" column all the way to the right. Before you had to click on the + sign next to the term to see search query broken down by positions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6-10, 2nd page, 3 page+

Now there is average search position agregated for the query.

The interesting thing is that if you are 3page+, this can give you an idea where you approximately are.

There is also a new column with a star (to the left of the query) and the "Starred" tab, allowing you to favourite the queries you want to watch. You can mark the query by clicking on the star, then click on the "Starred" tab and the query will be shown there. I am still not sure if this is wise to use as it gives Google more idea on what keywords you are interested for on the site.

Yes, this is pretty new. People started spotting it in April, and along with that came questions about accuracy -- especially about the CTR being reported. Do the numbers you see for your account seem at least in the right ballpark?

I do not think CTR is correct - my stats see more clicks than what CTR reports. I saw the thread that discussed Impressions, CTR and CTR % columns - these have been there for a few weeks. But there is another column in there now, which is Average Position for the query, agregated.

This column was not there few days ago and to see the position the query appeared, you had to click on the little + sign next to the query, where the impressions, CTR, CTR % and position have been broken down, but no details past page 3.

Now there is agregate average position for the query without needing to click on the + sign.

Now I am clear - sorry for not paying closer attention. And now I'm envious, too. Not seeing it yet for my sites. I'll check a few client sites out with high anticipation.

If the average position is page3 or higher, this could mean that your page's ranking for that keyword took either a big jump or a big drop sometime during the specified date range for the data, or perhaps bounced back and forth between page1 and a lower page.

By clicking on the different countries, and comparing the total impressions for that country to the total for the world overall, you can determine the percentage for each country. You can also do this for clicks.
