On my weekly check of our webmaster tools I noticed that alot of the sitemaps show that the URLs are submitted, but that none of the URLSs show to be indexed.

Upon further investigation I noticed that the sitemap sections that appear as not being indexed are the same sections we submitted to google base/google merchant center.

Just a little background:
We started submitting data feeds to Google Merchant Center approximately 1 month ago. We've had our WMT account for several years, we are an ecommerce site and totally white hat. We've noticed a 10% drop in traffic over the last two weeks.

Has anyone else had this experience?

How concerned should I be?

I have noticed the same thing. Long established pages with seperate folders and sitemaps for each topic are suddenly showing zero indexed. While my traffic is a little down, its not what you would expect from a total deindexing, by far.

To answer your question, none of these pages were ever submitted to the Merchant Center. From my viewpoint, your WMT connection is probably just coincidence. But then, you never know...

I am wondering if this simply a glitch in what GWT is showing. I hope so.

check this thread [webmasterworld.com...] . Three people including myself are seeing indexed URLs going to Zero for regular sitemaps even... so I guess its a GWT glitch... went into panic mode for a moment when i noticed it first few hours ago...

It's just very odd that it's the exact same sections that we submitted to Merchant Center... I mean exactly the same.

I'm testing this theory by removing one of hte least performing merchant center feeds and submitting a different one. I'll post updates to this test here.
