Hi guys

Question: if you have a page that's been ranking reasonably well for a term over a few months in a relatively uncompetitive niche, with largely static text (a product review for example) and it's gradually falling a position every week or two maybe, which of the following might be the first port of call to give it a little boost?

Acquire another inbound link from a 3rd party
Add a relevant inbound link from within my own network
Strengthen internal links to that page
Refresh the content

...or any thing else I haven't considered?

Thanks.

I'd look first at strengthening the internal linking (but continue letting potential link partners know about the page). Finding some other site that will link can be an uncertain process, but improving the internal link structure is right there for you.

Thanks Tedster. I'll start there then :-)

I would also set up another page on a related topic using similar keywords. This will only work if you have a small site however.

first i would check the site: search within the site to look for any older but relevant content that you could 301 at it.
