Bumped From First Page By Blog Posts

One of our major traffic driving terms has now been bumped from the first page to the second page of results by a grouping of blog posts about the subject. Google has a blog engine for this type of thing, it just never ends. Yet more crap in the organics....

It sounds like one of those keywords that Google flags as "deserving freshness" - and then all the old solid sites on the topic suffer. Is it like that?

Yeah its and abbreviation which covers two pretty major but unrelated subjects, one sporting, one business... I'm on the business side of the equation which is much more static than sports .. Sport has the top place, I've been gaining more links over the last 12 months but we continue to slide in the rankings, traffic has been dropping away along with revenue.. A familiar sad tale I imagine.
