Hi Friends,

I need some help and guidance. I am working on a site and what I see it's not ranking on top when I search my title of the home page on google.

It always ranks after my couple of internal pages...

Is this a penalty from google and if yes what kind of penalty and how I can over come it..

please advise...I really need some help..

If your internal pages and the home page are all listed by google on page 1 of the results I doubt there will be any penalty involved. Why the home page is listed below your 2 internal pages, I have no idea.

but when I am putting the complete title of the home page, my home page should come on top and that's not happening..which making me assume that home page has some penalty

Search using advanced operators:

intitle="my title goes here"
