I'm seeing something for the first time today and maybe I've missed this mentioned elsewhere. I don't think I can post screen shots here so I'll try to describe what I'm seeing. When I start to type in the name of a popular company in the search box on google.com, the auto suggest starts populating info as usual, but then when it recognizes what I'm typing a link to the companies site comes up and is a different color, it looks a lot like a PPC ad. Has anyone seen this? I'd like to do this for a site I manage and was wondering how it is done.

It sounds like this feature - announced in May 2009:

Sponsored links in suggestions
Similar to the navigational suggestions above, sometimes we detect that the most relevant completion for what you're typing is an ad. When an ad is shown, we mark it with the text "Sponsored Link" and a colored background, as on the results page.

That's it, thanks! Shows how much attention I pay to the SEO world :) I'm only a year behind.
