Hi there,

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum section but...

I have just seen my keyword phrase drop and then go back up and then drop again. On checking the datacentre that I am currently viewng (through Firefox with SHOWIP addon) I see that it is currently top on most of the subdomains but not the IP I am currently viewing!

My questions is... how often does Google change the IP of the data centre that I am viewing?

Many thanks - Clayton

The better question (and more accurate answer) is, how often does Google change the data center supplying the information to the IP Address you're viewing...

Your guess is as good (and possibly more accurate for your specific location and situation) as mine or anyone else's. Location, load balancing, etc. all come into play. The more specific version of the answer is: IP Address is no longer a good indication of the data center your query is being routed to, AFAIK.
