Is it normal that yahoo backlinks shows a lot of incoming links to my website, but GWT shows only two. Two!? It's not even close.

Thanks

Usually yahoo siteexplorer shows more backlinks than google webmaster account and in most sites it may be 3-4 times of GWT.

Yahoo shows about twice the number of links we see in GWT.

Do make sure you register your site as both www and non-www in WebmasterTools and look at the reports for 'both sites'.

There's a mine of information in the reports for the non-canonical hostname. Most people miss out on ever looking at that data.

This is weird. The site is still not showing any backlinks. Surely google can't be that bad at finding them? I've got both the www and http versions in WMT.

I've had the same problem with one of my websites, which oddly enough, has over 100 links many of which are from government websites. WMT only lists 1 and has for the entire life of the site, over a year.

Frankly, it makes me to question all data on WMT.
