I have a new site and started the SEO work a few weeks back. I've done some of the seo basics like targeted each page with a set of keyphrases, uploaded the metatags, and submitted the site in google webmasters.
Now the site has two problems
1. It is stuffed with gallons of Javascript codes.
2. It has very little content on the home page and almost no content in top level pages. However there is some content in the inner listing pages.
But at this moment it is too difficult to add content in the top level pages; though i can tweak the one existing in the home page..
The site does not rank anywhere in Google though it has good ranks in Yahoo!
Google has cached 120 pages from the site yet.
my question is
Will the dearth of content on top level pages and on-page JS impede the site's Google ranks alltogether ?
Is there anything else that can be done to secure good ranks in Google?
