Hi
I have a site for a client which has multi currency support, I am using some GEO IP location code to auto set the currency based on the IP database. If I browse to the site from the UK it always displays correctly in sterling £ and after implementing this code, US traffic rose by 15% so all seemed to be working very well. However, I have just seen that when searching for this sites most important key phrase, the google result shows a price in dollars, and thats google.co.uk. Any ideas please? Thanks, James

Googlebot spiders from a block of US IP addresses. that's one of many reasons why tailoring page content based on IP location runs into trouble. It's pretty much the equivalent of a "forced opt-in", and it certainly makes trouble for me when I travel.

Thanks for your reply, my system has an override which lets you change the currency, and also if the user is logged in it will set to their default currency. Seems this may be an issue though as its detramental to SERP's, J
