Some traffic jumps are now being reported in the SERP Changes thread [webmasterworld.com], so something is changing. No one has mentioned renewed deep crawling, at least so far.

Starting about 1 week ago I've been getting deep craws again.

Google may need to deep-crawl the whole web to build up a full dataset for Caffeine. Maybe this is the start of that process.

I sure wish my crawl rates would increase, but maybe it's just beginning. I've seen nothing since January 9.

My main site has been averaging 64K pages a day and spiking around 83K. Most of these are Google and it is indexing at the approximate rate of one page a second. (The site is rather large though and has about 300M pages).
