Hello,

I have a website with an alexa rank of about 1.9 million ( not great but ok ) and when i make a change or add a page to my website ... it takes about 10 days for google to take that change.

Just 20 minutes ago a website with an alexa rank of 120 000 wrote something about us and it is already published. Is it because the alexa rank is higher that within minutes it what they posted appear on the web ?

By the way what is considered a good alexa rank and how canwe increase ours ? ( is it just visitors ? )

Thank you,

Alexa rank has no direct relationship to Google indexing.

Alexa depends mostly on their own toolbar data, from what I understand, and they supplement that with other information - again this is totally independent of Google -- although they are both trying to measure "website popularity", each in their own way.

So what makes google indexing so fast in certain cases ?

It's the way their crawling and indexing algorithm decides which site are most important - part PageRank, part number of navigational searches, part frequency of updates and whether the site appears on search results where freshness is important (QDF search results), etc.

You'll notice the differences more during periods where Google crawling and indexing has fewer resources available and therefore the total "crawl budget" is tight.
