I'm surprised I haven't seen a thread on this, but I haven't been using Google too much lately, so it may have already been noticed and I missed the thread, but this is the first time I'm seeing it: There's no question mark in the URL...

http://www.google.com/#q=example

After I noticed it I viewed the source code and there's not a single result there... Just a bunch of JS and minimal HTML.

A year ago there was a big flap when Google first rolled out AJAX Serps and accidentally wiped out referer information - [webmasterworld.com...]

Since that time, they've been testing an AJAX approach on a small subset of users, but without the disastrous initial problems.

Yeah, I remembered the AJAX debacle, which is why I was a bit surprised to see an obviously AJAX oriented URL. I didn't realize they were testing again.
