Suggestions for the content on category pages

Hello,

I have come across a e-commerce website having different category pages. And each category landing page is consisting 10 product on each page. So I have 5 pages for one category to display 50 products 10 on each page. Would it be advisable to have same content on all 5 pages? or it should be unique on each page.
Other thing I was wondering to have main entrance page with unique content and rest of the 4 pages with products belongs to that particular category.

If the content is duplicated, then only one of those pages has a good chance of ranking, and the rest might well be filtered out of any specific keyword result. If the content is unique, then they all have a chance.
