More and more and I am seeing sites that have a page for every city in the world, with

keyword1 keyword2 city state country = <title>

a script about keyword1 and keyword2 about 4-5 paragraphs long.

every sentence has 10 versions of the same sentence which can be randomnly generated.

every 2nd sentence makes reference to city/state

The end result is a page that basically looks like an OK page about keyword1 keyword2 city state country... but in fact its just a way of getting around duplicate content and doorway page filters..... and get around them it does.

The reality is, these site have only one page, but using this method they create many thousands, and gives themselves a chance to rank for a great many local searches.

Anyone else seen this? Anyone else doing this?

Sure, it's all over the place. Pretty boring, but at least it's not as bad as subdomains :)

Been around forever. Beats Google keeping the traffic.

Doesn't work all the time. The text 'algo' needs to be right.
