2 PR or not 2 PR ... any new knowledge about internal PR inheritance?

Hello!

I still have some problems understanding the inheritance of the "visible" Toolbar-PR inside a site. For example I watch a page with good unique content, but which has only a lot of content on the 2nd internal level. The 1st level seem to be still in work, only half the pages are filled with content.

What Ithey get is:
Mainpage: PR4 -> Ok
1st level-page, no content: PR3 -> Huh?
1st level-page, content: PR0 -> Come on...
2st level-page, a lot of content: PR0
No external links at all all over the page. There are no deeplinks to subpages I could find.

Any ideas why some pages get a PR0 while (even empty) pages get some PR? Or should I just not bother, because even the PR0-pages will rank or pass some juice?

I'm not sure why your mixing content with PageRank when PR is simply a calculation of links to a page, and a single link from a high PR page passes a higher PR than a single link from a low PR page, so the home page could be a high 4 and the secondary page a low 3 and it could simply be the weight of the link on the home page to the inner page and not have an external link pointing to it...

Personally, I haven't had the toolbar or any other PageRank checking device installed in over a year, so I honestly just don't bother... I don't miss the green pixel dust generators a bit.
