I have managed to get it on first page of google using article marketing, profile linking & some free directory linking. Now since the caffeine is on it's way, I regularly check ranking using IP addresses. Recently I have noticed strange thing.
If I query for my keyword < with one SEO tool >, my site is on rank 1 for all data centers. If I query in www.google.com in India(my country), I am on rank 1 there also but if I query in USA using proxy via www.google.com, then I am on rank 6.
If I query any of the USA data center using IP address (the same IP which is shown in ShowIP extension), then also I am on rank 1 but if I use www.google.com then I am on rank 6. Now I want to know why there is a difference in results and what is my actual ranking in USA? Is this difference is there due to the update of caffeine? Will I be on rank 1 in USA in January?

I've also noticed that querying the data centers directly, using the IP address, does not necessarily show you what you will see on google.com. There is apparently some last minute filtering or juggling that can go on for those final SERPs to be created. You might pick up a clue about what's happening in your case by noticing what's happening with the other top URLs around you between the two sets of results.
I don't think we can make any assumptions about what the results will look like after Jan 1 comes around. The algo will probably be changed, for one thing, whether or not Caffeine goes into full time use when those "holiday SERPs" are discontinued.
After putting post here, I have read Google Updates and SERP Changes - December 2009 post and found that people have noticed caffeine results live on Nov 3, Nov 24, Nov 27, Nov 29, Dec 3 & Dec 8. These are exactly the same days I have got nice bunch of clicks for my keyword.
So I am hoping that I'll be on rank 1 after Jan 1.
