Flag and Phone Number Showing for Some Results in Google SERPs

For one out of ten of the results in one of the SERPs I monitor I see a little American flag, and a phone number with a green phone icon to the right of the title. This happens with IE on Windows but not Opera on Linux.

The title actually has the words "... Call NNN-NNN-NNNN ..." in it - the title shown in the serps is truncated after the word Call and this 'pretty' flag image and phone number are shown.

Clicking the flag gives me the option to

Start Call
Add as SkypeOut Contact
Copy Number
Add to SkypeFind...

Clicking the number opens Skype.

So I guess... this is something that only people with Skype installed see?

I may be adding a phone number to some of my pages as this really makes that result stand out in the SERPs and I can only imagine the number of calls received will go up with this feature.

Hmm ... apparently this happens with all phone numbers in IE 8 with Skype installed - at least installed with whatever options I selected.
Still, if including the phone # in the title helps make my listing stand out to other Skype users it may be worth doing anyway.

Just to clarify... is this then a Skype overlay that, in the browser, modifies the serps returned by Google?

If so, I assume this might happen also on the other engines.

Robert, yes it does - which makes this more of a general SERP 'tip' I guess.
