I guess this is my mistake. I purchased a domain and went on to design my site locally.
I totally forgot to put some nofollow on my new domain.

Apparently Google found my new domain and listed it as empty page. This was 10 days ago. I have uploaded all my files yesterday, did a check on Google WT to confirm I'm the owner etc.

Do you think I might be having a problem on my hand or should Google re-crawl it soon?

You've got nothing to worry about in the long term. Googlebot will be back to grab your content. You might want to pop up an xml Sitemap as an added push to the process.
