I have about 60% of my traffic coming from Google. Now on my new layout for the site, I'm planning to make a little section where it rotates some facts about that page. I want to make it 100% random using PHP and Mysql now the problem is that Googlebot might see it as a bad thing and walk away from the site.

So I was wondering what are your views on implementing a random facts (between 30 - 50 which rotates) on a page?

Would my page have "negative" affect on Googlebot? Also is there a way to exclude some parts of a page so that Google doesn't see it and saves me all this trouble?

This approach does stand a chance of causing you ranking troubles - especially if the ratio of random text to total text is high. You might consider serving the randomized content in an iframe - then it's on a different url.
