Q- Is the nofollow info really accurate?

A- We’ve certainly been very forthright. They want nofollow to be dropped from the link graph.

Is this something new? Has it been discussed before? Am I reading into correctly? In other words, is Google thinking of dumping the whole concept?

I wonder what kind of effect that would have after years and years of no follows being added all over the web.

I was there and that's not the way I understood Matt. Google drops the nofollowed LINK from their link graph of the web, not the concept of nofollow. They like the rel=nofollow approach a lot, and are not even close to abandoning it.

Thanks for clearing that up Tedster!
