Why "Translate this page" -when pages are English only?

Hi All,

One of my website has a directory, say "content" and there are many pages there.. like "content/page1.htm" there are so many pages.. and it is coming dynamically.

Now.. when I see in Google, all the pages under this directory showing "Translate this page" beside the URL of "content/pages.htm" even all these pages are in English only..

Any idea?

I've never tested the limits of Google's translation features, but my general impression is that the link will show if Google has "auto detected" the language incorrectly or if the language used does not match the user's selected language.

Do you specify the language of your content, either via an HTTP header or within your HTML?
