Given this new type of information and its value to search, we are very excited to announce that we have reached an agreement with Twitter to include their updates in our search results. We believe that our search results and user experience will greatly benefit from the inclusion of this up-to-the-minute data, and we look forward to having a product that showcases how tweets can make search better in the coming months. That way, the next time you search for something that can be aided by a real-time observation, say, snow conditions at your favorite ski resort, you'll find tweets from other users who are there and sharing the latest and greatest information.
How could they decide whether something is relevant in 140 chars... amongst the thousands other potentially relevant tweets...!

Pagerank equivalent in Twitter. The number of followers, reputation by the % of poster's tweets retweeted, age of twitter membership and so on?
This still does not mean that the listing is relevant - the person who tweets may have reputation etc but not necessary on the subject they made a comment about.
And there would be nothing to click on - the whole 140 chars will be able to fit in snippet easily. Or would google only show tweets with links to somewhere else? Well, this would be open for abuse big time. I can see a good business going for selling "aged" tweeter accounts with good number of followers ....
I agree with Reno - black hat's dream come true. The only thing that would make a sense is Tweeter search vertical with (perhaps, but even better not!) a link from the main SERPs saying "Check latest tweets on this subject".
Otherwise.... search for something, get:
-reviews
-prices
-local search
-videos
-photos
-tweets
... and real SERPs start on page 2 really....
