Google Not Indexing New Web Page on Established Site

I added a new page to my site, and for a while it wasn't being indexed by Google... about a month. On my site, usually new pages get indexed within 1-2 days.

I thought this might be something google indexs later, and forgot about it.

A week ago, I added adsense to the page. The page is showing the free ads, not even real ads. Makes me wonder what is going on.

1) Google not indexing page (index, follow present, nothing in robots)
2) adsense on that page showing free ads

Weird... any ideas?

Assuming the web page has links to it from other pages within the site, check the source code for errors, particularly in the head section. Then run the code through the W3C validator.

Do you have a sitemap?

Add pages, then update sitemap.xml as well.

Don't have one? Log into Google Webmaster Tools.

It's linked off my homepage, which is a PR4. First link on the page. I don't believe in sitemaps. I prefer the natural google crawl, otherwise the pages don't get the proper PR they deserve.

assuming you've checked all the usual such as nofollow on the link, robots meta element, robots.txt, etc.
GWT messages?

Nothing... that's the strange thing. I wouldn't normally think anything of it, but the free for all ads is what got me...

Google Caffeine - indexing is slowed down.

I don't believe in sitemaps.

That's your loss.

I prefer the natural google crawl, otherwise the pages don't get the proper PR they deserve.

What makes you think a sitemap would affect PR?

Google Caffeine - indexing is slowed down.

I've noticed that.
