[googleblog.blogspot.com...]
In May, we launched Search Options [googleblog.blogspot.com], a side panel that lets you filter, refine and generate different views of your search results. [...]

Today, we're announcing nine new Search Options tools: past hour, specific date range, more shopping sites, fewer shopping sites, visited pages, not yet visited, books, blogs and news. These features have been rolling out gradually and will be available globally in English by the end of the day. You can try them yourself by searching Google and clicking "Show options" in the blue bar just under the logo.

i just tried some things with the visited/not yet options and i'm not convinced it's functioning properly yet.
i have history off so that's probably the issue there...

The "fewer shopping sites" and "more shopping sites" options are very interesting. I've tried that out a couple times and it seems pretty useful.

This option also works as a confirmation that "is a shopping site" plays a part in Google's taxonomies. Or, I wonder, is that a page by page determination.
