Hi,

I bought an expired domain and made a site on it...its got a white PR bar now but its not appearing in the search results.

site: command also shows no results.

Is it a ban?

what do you guys think?

The PR bar doesn't necessarily show the current status, but only what it was at the last update, which could have been weeks ago. So you should disregard it for now.

If the site command doesn't show any results, this normally means that none of the pages are currently indexed. This doesn't necessarily mean a ban, but could. If you recently created new pages, Google may not have had time to index them yet, so that could explain it.

I bought an expired domain with PR4 (on the toolbar) that had a ban, so don't trust that white bar status at all. File a reinclusion request. Tell them that the domain was parked but you bought it and it is now a real website. (ie the truth)

I added it to Google Webmaster tools and it shows that Googlebot is spidering it nicely.

Webmaster Tools also accepted the sitemap and shows that the sitemap has been spidered, and also that 1 page is indexed.

But no pages can be found using the site: command.

It takes time for all the data centers to be updated with new information. So I suggest that you wait a few days and see what happens.
