How long does it usually take to index contents of an expired domain?

I have recently acquired an expired domain name, mainly because of the domain name. The domain had a PR of 2 and some links but that was not the main reason for buying it.

I since then (that was five days ago) added a blog to the domain and started writing at least one article per day. The articles are pinged to various services. I have also added the site to Technorati and Google Webmaster Tools.

Sitemap was submitted and I have started submitting a few articles to selected article directories.

I know that it is hard to analyse without knowing the domain at hand but are there any estimations how long it can take before new contents of a purchased expired domain name appear in the index?

Forgot to mention. The old contents (main domain and some subpages) are still in the index.

With expired domains all kinds of issues might be involved, making each case different. Are you watching your server logs for signs that googlebot is spidering?

Tedster, when I check the server logs I do not see Googlebot. The only Google reference is a get request for the sitemap. When I check Awstats on the other hand I see 77 Googlebot connects to the site in the last three days (also yahoo and msn).

Is there a way to tell googlebot to come and get some :P Or do you think I'm impatient and just have to wait?

Five days is a pretty short time - especially if googlebot is spidering. I'd say have some patience.

Just want to let everyone know that the domain is now indexed with the updated content. Likely that the other pages will follow suite soon. I try to be patient next time ;)
