anyone got any views

I've got a new blog thats just getting crawl by G and noticed the site in the serps, but rather than listing the site in the normal way with site title & description its just listing the URL and nothing else

anyone got any ideas? is it because its just not been crawled properly, the blog is built in the same way as a load of other blogs I've and I've even used the same theme on another site and thats showing fine in G

Google used to rank URL-only listings when the URL had received plenty of links with the relevant anchor text, but was blocked by robots.txt on the actual site.

Not sure what the current state of URL-only listings is, but I'd definitely check robots.txt, robots meta directives, internal nofollow, and anything else along those lines.

looks like the problem may be that G crawled the blog before it went live as its not showing cached information, so I only assume it just listed the url within the serps

I know G like blogs and maybe it was just a little over keen, just waiting for G to return and hopefully it will then show the description & title
