Site not appearing for just domain search without extension

Hi All,

I am very confuse about my site. My site is not appearing for its domain search i.e. "example", why it is so? My site name is : www.example.com, Its appearing for its title search, its appearing for content search but not appearing for domain name search.

Other of my websites are straight forward appearing in search in first positions while I search for thier domain search. Only this site not appearing. Can anybody tell me whats wrong with this site?

This is a dynamically website, and I am using .htaccess to make this site SEO friendly. I used URL re-writing formula for making site looks like a static .html site.

Does the site appear anywhere in the top 1000 results for that search?

yes its appear...but why its not appearing for its domain search?

It is appearing in 250 position for its domain search.

If you rank #1 for the search [example.com] with the ".com" included at the end, that is expected and healthy. But there is no reason to expect that a domain called "example.com" will always rank #1 on a search for [example].

I'd suggest looking at the sites that are currently ranking on top for the [example] search. Are they just talking about your website, or are they talking about "example" with no reference to your site?
