Google Custom Search breaks out of frames in IE

I have a site that uses frames (please refrain from commenting!) and it uses custom search. Google custom search, however, seems to break out of frames (only in IE, not in Firefox or Opera) which destroys the navigation panels.

Anyone know how to stop Google custom search from breaking frames?

Thanks
Mike

I already asked on Google Help, but you know how useful that will be ... 5 minutes after posting it was on page 2!

The first step is to discover how it is breaking out of frames, correct? It's very peculiar that a frame breaker script would only execute in IE. You'll need to dig into the code to understand it before you can block it.

Is this happing with the display of the search results themselves, or is it only when someone clicks on the search results?

I've two sections of one website which have long utilized frames in an effective format.

It's actually to your sites benefit to allow google to index the individual pages content.

On your end, what you need to do is initiate a frames-script which only allows visitors to view the individual pages content within the structure of the frames.

On the other hand, if it is your actual desire to not have google index the pages entirely?
Simply add the pages to robots.text or define meta tags on the pages.

Firefox has some anti-redirect options, particularly in plugins. Would that solve the discrepance between browsers?
