Hello,

I have website internal page which ranks almost on every keyword in top 10 except one single keyword

On that single keyword, main web site home page comes on 100th position and internal page, i am unable to find on that keyword

Is that penality

It could be a penalty, but it could be simply not ranking well. We have a number of current threads here discussing that kind of question. For example:

Those discussions should give you some ideas about what factors to analyze.

Hi tedster

My case do not seem to be like of those 2 threads

I suspect that i have that keyword linked from 8 dir's (site wide) to internal page. So i think 8 full directory site wide link to internal page on one keyword may be causing that.

But those dir's are quality directories from where i linked site wide.

Any views will be appreciated. I suspect if i remove those site wide links, may be internal page ranking will drop from number one position on other keywords which include that keyword

like "keyword service", "keyword services"

If a directory gave you a sitewide keyword link, it's not a quality directory.
