Inbound links from autoblogging website: will this hurt my ranking?

I found some websites doing an autoblogging and having links pointed to original articles. I also observed some of my articles being there and links pointing to my website?

I know that it is additional inbound link, but not sure if it is an advantage or disadvantage? Should I block them from scrapping my site?

I block scraping on general principles, ie. it's MY CONTENT and you can't have it! Can lead to loss of authority/original source, etc. If you love what you create, you should protect it.

If you can just block them by adding their IP address in your htaccess file and you feel like it, sure, if not, I personally don't go to the trouble of chasing people who use my articles but do link to the original source or my site, as long as the link is real (no 302 redirect or nofollow). With a link, most search engines see it as confirmation that you have the original article, so there's no duplicate problems, and you gain the benefit of a backlink.

I have to focus on the real content thieves if I don't want to spend all day doing this. It's better for the blood pressure too.
