Banner Ad for Google Search Terms - on their content network

I just found a banner on the content network advertising Google search for a particular topic. The design of the banner is interesting as it animates a number of potential search terms.

I didn't click on it because I've trained myself not to click on other advertiser's banners. Consequently I don't know if it clicks through to a pre-populated query.

Does anyone know where it goes?

thanks

It does sound like a pre-populated query. I certainly understand your reluctance to click if the ad is displayed on your own content page. Have you tried a right-click to copy/paste the link into a text editor, just to see what you might learn?

I haven't seen this banner ad, but I can see how it might be something Google would experiment with.

Hi tedster,

I was too stupid to save the page so I could examine the landing URL. I did however save the unit - I find the use of animated related keywords most interesting indeed. I assume Google has tested the format, and that this format is worth looking at in detail.

As always thanks for your reply tedster.

Cheers
